This coming Wednesday 26 October sees the event Nokia World in London where they are expected to launch their very first smartphone running on an alternative operating system. The phone is said to run on the Windows Phone platform allowing it to bring another set of phones to the market.

This is seen pretty much as make or break for Nokia who have seen their market share plummet thanks to iPhone and Android.

With a change in policy on design and project management the first Nokia Windows smartphones should be available by the end of the year.
